Very First Adventure Ranger Summer Merit Camp

Can you imagine, 6 merits (actually 7) earned in four days. It would normally take months to accomplish this task. Way to go guys!!

Only lasted a couple of days. It seems the mosquito wanted to eat more than they did.

Camp cleanup at Ft Meade always pays off. They need help on various projects and they will give dollars off on camping events. Great Tradeoff.

What an awesome experience and we only saw a piece of it. I hope to get some more pictures to place here.

We all survived the record 116 degree temperatures and hold memories that will last forever.

Lake Parker has seen a bunch of these Saturday morning and mid-afternoon camps. This is shere those young men that wanted to get that extra time in that we miss on Wednesday nights.

Commander Bill enjoyed being with the boy's and planned weekend camps that included fun, food, and advancements.

Way to go Commander Blake, the first ever Commander Shooting Instructor's course is now complete and we are on the way to begin training our ranger's

Our COA were held outside for many years on the side of the hill. At COA we award the last quarters earning that each young man has worked so hard to obtain.

Our very First Summer Merit Camp. Four days packed with a lot of enthuisiam, at least for the first day or two. GREAT CAMP!

20 Young men started on the journey to earning 5 merits in 3 days and only 19 were able to make it. Congratulations guys. Kudos to the 5 from OP169!!!

Commanders met at Masterpiece Gardens for the annual event. This is the stage for what is to come for Pow Wow and other important Ranger material.

We were blessed with Commanders and young boys with open hearts. They learned a lot and have fun in that learning.

Camp Wilderness was the site for our special campout. We came away refreshed and blessed!

GMA reciepents formed a board and they performed an advancement camp in the Summer of 02. This was apparantly replaced by the Summer Merit Camps

The most successful camp is one that gets ready early. Here we began building Fort Frasier. Lots of young rangers felt the pride as thier work began to payoff. Great Workday !

We honored our Out post with great field events and with a service awards program for the GMA, Gold Medal of Achievement.

Saddle em-up boys and lets get riding. This was our 1st in many to come for this journey. Several miles are available at this Polk City park area.

Another great day for a Bike Trip

This was an exciting and fun time for Ranger Kids to go on thier first campout. In fact many of the dads had never camped out. And by the way the kitchen is where people liked to hang out, Imagine that.

Annually the RK's get together from all of the Sectional outpost's. This was a lot of fun at the Bartow parksite that these rangers will not forget.

What a great weekend to give to your son. The family can come and enjoy with each other. We also won the Buddy Barrel award and Best outfitted Outpost. Way to go Ranger Kids!!

Abundant Life was the host for the long lost Pinewood Derby. Over 90 cars raced for the title.

Commander Steve and his family did the singing and we were blessed with the spirit in song.

Terry Raburn was the honored guest and inspired all commanders and wives that this ministry is crucial for young boys.
